Holistic Approach
The Holistic Approach is a concept of uniting integrative health with the fundamental need to view health as a ‘whole-body’ experience, respecting the influence of the mind, body and spirit (soul).
These alternative therapies can help you to understand how lifestyle changes can support all areas of health including emotional and psychological well-being.
Many programs focus on one aspect of wellness, where as the holistic total considers all aspects of your life to construct a plan for you in order to achieve optimum and functional health, individualised to you. It helps you find a direction into which path you will take in your journey, and is there every step of the way for support.
Empowerment means you can be the driver of your own story and take control of your destiny and spiritual path.
The holistic plan investigates the root cause of chakra blockages and how to heal them based upon a colour, light, vibrational, energy and sound therapy along with neuro linguistic programming.
Where does the chakra philosophy come from?
The term Chakra in Sanskrit means “spinning wheel”. The Chakras act as a junction point for the “nadis”, the breath channels or lines of energy radiating out to all areas of the body. The Chakras are like invisible batteries that recharge through contact and a stream of energy. It is essential that Chakras are kept aligned and balanced, which in turns feeds the aura and physical energy. They are crossroads of the material and immaterial, biological and spiritual and relates to the mind, body and spirit. Chakras cannot be felt by touch, but they can be sensed.
The system of chakras is used widely in alternative healing and spiritual practices, and has become popular not least because of its accessibility for both mediation and healing applications. The chakras are at the root of the human aura, a magnetic field that stands outside the visible body.
The 7 main Chakras
- Root
- Sacral
- Solar Plexus
- Heart
- Throat
- Third Eye
- Crown
The root, sacral and solar plexus chakras are considered to be our chakras connected to the physical world. Through the heart to the upper three centres of the throat, third eye and crown which are considered to be our spiritual centres. The physical chakras are said to be related to our self image, our physical and emotional identity. Imbalances in chakras can manifest as negative thoughts, emotions, physical symptoms and disconnect in a persons life. For more detail on chakras, please see the blog posts.
Chakra balancing
Chakra balancing is a working with, not against energies at all levels, including physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological in order to restore equilibrium. The chakras are a whole form of an energy system, relating specifically to a number of points or sites in the body.
If we are looking at healing the heart chakra for example, we need to consider healing not only from the point of view of our physical condition but also in relation to our emotional and spiritual well-being, since all areas relates to functions of the heart.

Tarot
What is Tarot and how does it work?
The Tarot is a deck of 78 cards, each with its own imagery, symbolism and story. The 22 Major Arcana cards represent life’s karmic and spiritual lessons, and the 56 Minor Arcana cards reflect the trials and tribulations that we experience on a daily basis.
Tarot is the storybook of our life, the mirror to our soul, and the key to our inner wisdom.
Every spiritual lesson we meet in our lives can be found in the seventy-eight Tarot cards. And when we consult the Tarot, we’ll get shown the exact lessons we need to learn and master to live an inspired life. It’s like holding up a mirror to yourself so that you can access your subconscious mind. Tarot allows us to tap into the wisdom and answers that live in us all.
While many people believe that Tarot will tell you the future, making predictions are not really what Tarot cards are about. Tarot is not fortune teling but instructs you to use your intuition, especially if you want to create your ideal future and manifest your goals. From this place of inner power and wisdom, you can discover how to make positive changes now so you can manifest your goals and your dreams in the future.
We are all connected to a collective, universal wisdom and our inner wisdom. When we use Tarot cards—and connect with our intuition—we can tap into this universal wisdom. It’s a little like connecting in with the collective mind, not just the individual mind.
Tarot can work by giving an individual a framework to read or analyse a problem or situation an explore future possible options by considering the past has affected the present, where fresh insights can be found. Tarot is an empowering rather than fatalistic system, it helps put you in charge of your own destiny.
When is a reading helpful?
A tarot reading can be done at any time but there are times where it is particularly useful. For example:
- Stuck in a rut and seeking direction
- Starting a new job or direction in life
- Starting out a new project
- Situations with personal relationships
- Considering a difficult decision
Open Readings.
Open readings can gleam as valuable insights as much as readings with specific questions. Open readings address larger aspects of your life rather than a specific problem or situation. They are particularly useful when entering a new phase in life.
Question Readings.
Some readings are intended to ask a specific question. Once the initial question and guidance is understood, the Tarot cards can be used to explore meanings and set future intentions in a positive way.

Hopi ear candles.
What is Hopi Ear candling?
Hopi Ear candling is an ancient technique used to disinfect and draw out ear wax, pollutants and toxins from the ear canal. Hopi Ear candling is a non invasive, pain free way of removing ear wax from the ear caal without chemicals or sharp ear probes. Hopi ear candles are hollow cylindrical cotton tubes soaked with beeswax and aromotherapy oils. The candle is then lit and left to burn down safely while you relax. The hollow ear candles act as a chimney directing toxins and pollutants away from the ear canal. Hopi Ear candles use a pressure gradient in order to dislodge and clean accumulated wax.
Aside from removal of pollutants and wax, Hopi Ear candling can be a relaxing and calming experience. Some clients experience reduced pressure in the sinuses and improved hearing.
How does it help?
- We live in a world of constant noise. Ear wax is designed to catch and deal with pathogens, if the ear wax can’t escape, the ear can get inflammed and irritated. The overuse of headphones can lead to imapcted ear wax that is difficult to remove or soften without intervention.
- As a purifying ritual to help clear the mind an elevate the senses giving sense to wellbeing and lightness.
- It can also help for conjested sinuses, itchy ears, ringing in the ears and pressure in the temporal lobe region.
- Reduce inflammation and obstructive air flow.
How does it work?
You will be made comfortable lying down on your side, or if not possible to side lie, on your back. The hopi ear cadles is placed at 90 degrees (or 45 degrees depending on position). The candle has a protective shield and valve and will be extinguished 3-4 inches before it reaches your ear. The repeat will be made on the other side. Sometimes several candles or sessions are needed to dislodge compacted wax. At the end of the session you will be given a facial massage to finish.
Cost: €35 including facial massage (2 candles 45 minutes) or €55 (4 candles 75 minutes)
Reiki
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word “Reiki” means “mysterious atmosphere, miraculous sign.” It comes from the Japanese words “rei” (universal) and “ki” (life energy). Reiki is a type of energy healing.
How does it help?
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
Energy healing targets the energy fields around the body. Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or possibly emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause illness. Energy medicine aims to help the flow of energy and remove blocks in a similar way to acupuncture or acupressure. Improving the flow of energy around the body, say practitioners, can enable relaxation, reduce pain, speed healing, and reduce other symptoms of illness.
How does it work?
You will sit in a comfortable chair or lie on a table, fully clothed. There may or may not be music, depending on your preference.
Hands will beplaced lightly on or over specific areas of the head, limbs, and torso using different hand shapes, for between 2 and 5 minutes. The hands can be placed over 20 different areas of the body. If there is a particular injury, such as a burn, the hands may be held just above the wound.
Using hand positioning lightly on or over the body, the transfer of energy takes place. During this time, you may feel the area where hands are placed may be warm and tingling. Each hand position is held until the energy has stopped flowing. When the heat, or energy, in their hands has abated, they will remove their hands and may place them over a different area of the body.
Cost: € 40 (60 minutes)
